A lot of things could and should be done if you are in New York but there are also some main things you have or even must to do in case you were lucky to visit the capital of the world. Have a glass of beer at ancient New York pubs. Those are pubs you will never see some place else. Those are pubs that were the favorite pubs for a good number of famous writers and dangerous gangsters. It is not beer the main treasure of those pubs but it is the history the walls of those pubs contains and the atmosphere that surrounds you, the atmosphere of something significant.
If you are lucky to visit the Big Apple you will be the most stupid person in the world in case you won't visit a Central Park. Take you time and stay there for a half of a day and have fun there and have your rest there. You will have your physical and mental rest and you will never forget about this walk and you will never forget about this park.
And off course there is no way for you to visit New York without visiting Broadway. It is not the best kind of art though it is the kind that made Big Apple famous all over the world.
