The Arrival

In case you are the foreign tourist you will arrive to New York by plain for sure and there are three main airports you may come, it depends on the place you fly from. So, one way or another the first thing you see is an airport and it may be Kennedy Airport, La Guardia Airport or the Newark Liberty airport. Those are the only possible airports for your arrival.
The arrival is the first stage of your life in New York and so the arrival counts for the first impression and the first impression is usually the strongest one. In order not to make it the terrible one follow the common rules and you will never get lost in New York. First of all when arrive to New York you'd better have a lot of coins with you because you will need those for tickets.
The journey in the airport is free though once you left the airport you will have to pay money for your journey. In most cases the journey costs 2 dollars. The driver will never give you change and that is why it is better for you to have coins with you. Use the shuttle-busses in order to get to the city. Those will get you right to Manhattan where you can have a cab.
The cab will cost for about 45 dollars plus the toll fee. In case you are at the Kennedy Airport use the AirTrain JFK buss to get to the city, in case you are at the La Guardia Airport you should go the M60 buss and in case you are at the Newark Liberty Airport you should go the any express-buss.
